01 Accepting these terms
By adding Xristina Bot ("Xristina", "the bot", "the service") to a Discord server, using any of its commands, or remaining in a server where it operates, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, remove the bot from your server and stop using it.
These terms apply in addition to Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. Nothing here overrides them. Where they conflict, Discord's rules win.
02 What the service is
Xristina is a free, automated moderation and security bot for Discord. She provides anti-spam, anti-raid, anti-nuke, and anti-compromise protection, content filters, an escalating warning system, a ticket system, welcome and leave messages, a blacklist, and administrative commands.
Xristina is an independent project. She is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord Inc.
Automated moderation makes mistakes. Xristina can miss a genuine attack, and she can act against an innocent member. She is a layer of defense, not a replacement for human moderators, backups, or sensible role permissions.
03 Who may use it
- You must meet Discord's minimum age requirement for your country (13 or older, and higher where local law requires it).
- You must have the Manage Server permission on any server you add Xristina to, or explicit permission from someone who does.
- Server administrators are responsible for informing their members that an automated moderation bot is active.
04 Your responsibilities
As the person who adds or configures Xristina, you are responsible for:
- The configuration you choose. Thresholds, filters, punishments, and the warning ladder are all adjustable. If you set them badly, the outcomes are yours.
- Moderation decisions made in your server. Xristina acts on your behalf. Any ban, kick, mute, or deletion she performs is your server's action, not ours.
- Compliance with local law — including data protection law where you and your members live.
- Reviewing punishments. False positives happen. Keep a way for members to appeal.
05 Permissions and actions
Xristina requests broad permissions — including Administrator — because her core functions require them. To stop a nuke mid-attack, she must be able to strip roles and ban a user with higher standing than a normal moderator. To lock a server during a raid, she must be able to edit every channel.
By granting these permissions, you authorise Xristina to take automated action inside your server without asking first, including:
- Deleting messages that trip a filter
- Timing out, kicking, or banning members and bots
- Removing roles and permissions from users who trip the anti-nuke thresholds
- Applying slow-mode or locking channels during a raid
- Kicking blacklisted users on sight, including when the bot restarts
If you are not comfortable with automated action, do not add the bot.
06 What you may not do
- Use Xristina to harass, stalk, doxx, or target individuals or communities.
- Use her moderation powers to violate Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.
- Attempt to exploit, reverse-engineer, overload, spam, or otherwise interfere with the bot or its hosting.
- Deliberately trigger the anti-raid or anti-nuke systems to disrupt a server you do not own.
- Resell, rebrand, or present the bot as your own product.
- Use the ticket system to collect passwords, payment details, or other sensitive personal data.
07 Availability and changes
Xristina is provided free of charge and with no uptime guarantee. She may go offline for maintenance, hosting failures, Discord API outages, or rate limits. Features may be added, changed, or removed at any time without notice.
While the bot is offline, your server is unprotected. Blacklisted users who join during downtime are caught on the next startup, but messages and raids that occur while she is down are not retroactively actioned.
08 Suspension and removal
You may stop using the service at any time by removing the bot from your server. Doing so ends these terms for that server. See the Privacy Policy for what happens to your stored settings.
We may block a server or a user from using Xristina, at our sole discretion and without notice, if they breach these terms, abuse the service, or use it to cause harm.
09 No warranty
Xristina is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the bot will detect every attack, that it will never act against an innocent member, that it will be uninterrupted, or that it is free of errors.
10 Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developers of Xristina are not liable for any damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service. This includes but is not limited to:
- Loss of a Discord server, channels, roles, messages, or members
- A raid, nuke, or compromise that the bot failed to prevent
- Members wrongly muted, kicked, or banned by an automated rule
- Downtime, data loss, or lost revenue
Since the service is free, no refund or compensation is available in any circumstance.
11 Ownership
The Xristina name, branding, source code, and this website remain the property of their developers. Content that you create — your embeds, welcome messages, ticket transcripts, and configuration — remains yours.
12 Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated. The effective date at the top of this page always reflects the current version, and material changes will be announced in the support server. Continuing to use the bot after a change means you accept the revised terms.
